Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day was so fun this year. We started very early on making crafts and valentines for cousins. Camryn loves to make things for other people and loves love. So this was right up her alley this year.
Night before the big day she wrote her friend's names and her own on her special Valentine's with my favorites See's hearts. Can't believe I shared them with 3 and 4 year olds. Camryn has gotten so good at writing and now when she writes cards I just spell it for her and she writes it.

Love/hate with Sugar Cookies. These however were so tasty! I think the sour cream and lemon make them so soft and good. We made some to have, give and use for preschool the next day.

Valentines morning we woke up to Daddy surprises. He knows how to spoil us. I got a nice card and flowers, Reagan a new outfit and Camryn a new book and treats.
I made heart sweet potato pancakes.

Camryn topped it with red sprinkles.
Then we had a preschool party at our house. All of the kids passed out their Valentine's to their envelope they made at the last Preschool day.
We frosted cookies.
Did lots of kissing and hugging. Manly Camryn-she can't help it-such a lover. Made Valentines for the moms.
Played "Don't Eat Pete" by covering the Valentine's monsters with Conversation hearts over and over.

Then had a dance party-no party is complete without dancing. They wanted to jump on the couch so I pulled out this mattress and they were in heaven.
Then we met Ryan for lunch at Muss & Turner. So fun to meet up since we rarely do. Love these girls outfits.
And I love this guy of mine.
Then we stopped to get our nails done. My mom was so cute and sent Camryn her own gift card to treat she and Reagan to a manicure. She loved the whole experience. Reagan on the other hand was too scared to have some stranger touch her hand and sit still for them. So I painted hers while we waited for Camryn.
Then we hit up the park before going home. This girl sure is agile. She can get through this park and down slides so unlike her sister. I love watching how much fun she has.

After dinner and a bath the girls got a surprise doorbell ditch. They were pretty happy to say the least with all the fun that day.
This really was one of my favorite holidays we have had in a long time. It is so fun with girls and especially Camryn who got so into this year. Until next year St Valentine...

Last Weeks Adventures

We had a fun week around Atlanta. Sunday we went to Red Top Mountain and threw rocks in the lake. It was a little too cold but we layered up and lasted a good hour.

Reagan could have stayed all day throwing anything she could find in the lake.

Love this picture I captured of Camryn. Hard to get pictures of what we think she looks like but when you do-there is nothing I love more.
Cold Ryan in the background-he is a baby in the cold.
The girls found a fallen tree and had fun balancing. Camryn was pretty good.

This girl is one with nature.

The next day Camryn was outside playing in the rain and Reagan wanted up to see. She looks so little here to me.
Then she got in the the action. I think after being cooped up for so long they finally didn't care about the rain and still went outside. Not me though-except when I had to run after Reagan because she ran away to the park while I was in the bathroom. That girl has become a darter and a runner.
And this one still a cleaner and organizer who was trying to take care of the leaf issue.
Tuesday we did the free Children's Museum. The girls had fun but I am not sure I did. I was constantly chasing after Reagan and then couldn't stay with Camryn so she would have to follow us or stay in one spot. Luckily she could have done this the whole time while Reagan was running every which way. The few times she stopped were to milk the "Boo" as she calls cows.

Wednesday we went to the local aquatic center and went SWIMMING! I was so excited when I found out their were open swims and only cost $4. The air outside the pool was freezing but the water felt amazing. It was so fun to do something so different than what the winter calls for. However, Reagan couldn't stay in the pool. She loves her independence of getting in and out so because of that we were both cold.
Notice her blue lips.
Camryn was getting brave. We have got to get her swimming by summer.
Cutest loving sisters. Love when they are so happy together!

Intsagram Rejects

I can't post everything on Insta. You would all hate me and think my kids were annoying and ugly. People just don't like your kids the way that you do and I get that. But I need to post them somewhere. Since like Ryan said blogs are so 2011 so no one reads this anymore and it is strictly for journaling and grandparents and some family.
When these two get a along nothing melts my heart more. Within the last 2 months I see it more and more. Reagan is close to 18 months now and can really play start to play with Camryn.
Camryn loves reading her books and Reagan won't pass up any book.

I posted the other picture of Reagan sleeping on me but this one was hilarious. I was so sad she was naked. I could have sat there while she slept. Kids sleeping on us doesn't happen so I could not get over this. Such a sweet moment.
If the TV brings cuddles and loves I am all for it!
A rare warmer moment outside-as soon as it gets warm we head out. 50 degrees and above is warm at this point. So weird that I am ok with that.
Loved this pic at the Aquarium when we went with the McGrath's. Been so grateful to have annual passes.
Camryn loves her dance class and I love to watch her concentration and little body.
Reagan has gotten into crafting with Camryn. She has figured out how to do stickers and this saves us from a lot of tears because she wants to do what Camryn does.
Care packages and anything that comes in the mail is a big treat around here!
The day it got to 73 and hiked Kennesaw Mountain the girls could have been outside all day collecting rocks in doogie poop bags. So funny what entertains kids. I just love when Reagan can do what Camryn can-makes it more fun for both of them. Too bad it started to sprinkle and the fun was over.

Cute outfit day and car rides.

Momma cuddles. She is SO much more cuddly than Camryn ever was or is. I love this about her.
And finally at 17 months she said Mama! She has double her vocabulary and saying so many words now. So crazy she just figured that one out. Camryn was yelling for me and then Reagan goes Mama! So anytime we wanted to hear her say it I'd have to go in the other room and Camryn would yell for me and then Reagan would chime in.
Skinny jeans on this body.
Camryn was so proud she could catch her off the ottoman and carry her around.
Stacking my new craft. I really love these things.
Torando shelter fun

The girls love playing baby in Reagan's crib. They do this almost daily.
Reagan's obsession with Cats. "Oeow!"

Changing nap time to 1:00 is rough. She is tired by 9:30 and this is where I found her one morning in my closet.
Making stew just like I used to as a kid. Her hair is gorgeous here in the sun. I die over this girls hair.
Camryn loves to get Reagan cozy and Reagan is usually pretty happy about it. This picture brought a smile to my face after having a bad day.
I think a lot about how weird it is that we take pictures of our kids daily. Not just once but a ton. So different from our parents generation and even us growing up. Film and bad camera and no way to upload them to a computer. With a phone camera it is almost impossible to not take a picture a day. Sometimes I literally feel like the paparazzi but other times I am so grateful to be able to look back and completely remember one single day so well or the feelings that went along with those experiences. So though I think it is bizarre that we share our personal family lives with so many and have so many picture that probably look so similar-it also makes me happy and I hope it makes you all happy too.
