Thanksgiving in GB

This year my sister, Amy and I were able to do things a little bit differently for Thanksgiving. Since we live close to one another we drove up to Granite Bay a week early together. We were able to do so many fun things with our family even though we were wimps with the the cold weather! Now we know why we live in Southern California.
Fairytale Town was closed so we hit up the Sacramento Zoo. Much different than SD's zoo, but fun because the animals are so close. Here is us all bundled up.
Camryn and Ry-Haunny as Camryn says it but Ryan and Seanny to all of us. She loves these two older boys so much!
Especially Haunny-and he is so good to her, they loved riding next to each other! It even enabled Camryn to ride on her own!
Cuddle from Gama
Later that night my parents did an FHE at the temple for the kids so we could see the lights. I don't know if it is all temple square's in Nov. but it was freezing here! Which is even more amazing that all 3 of these kids are smiling and looking at the camera. Love Owen and Emma like my own!
Amy, Mom & I. We actually got to do a session the next day together, so fun going with the girls!
Amy brought up her Wii so most nights were spent doing Just Dance as a family. Kids and guys included. So much fun! I want to own this game.
Scott & Cade-easiest and sweetest baby ever. I hope I can have one like him someday.
Best cousin buddies. They just love each other and I love this picture. Don't worry we did not drive like this.
Wednesday night Ryan, Mike (Amy's hub) and Chris and Lindsay and their kids drove in. So Thanksgiving morning Ryan and I went for a beautiful drive up to Auburn and went to the river to throw rocks. Camryn was in heaven and so were we for getting some sunshine!
Thanksgiving feast-and it was SO good, best turkey I've ever had! 19 of us, since Nikki and her fam couldn't be there-we missed them big time! I have to also mention that Camryn slept through the whole thing which was SO nice-ate in peace. And don't worry that Owen bit (not drank) into his goblet (grandma was being daring) and sure enough it broke, but no blood or anything...talk about skill.
Day after...Apple Hill such a gorgeous place and feels so much like fall.
Love this pic of my two loves.
And this sweet face.
The boys grubbin' on amazing apple turnovers.
The whole gang-so fun getting everyone together!
My cute parents...thanks Mom & Dad for everything, you are such great hosts, chefs & parents! We had such a fun visit and Camryn is still talking about all her cousins and Gama & Papa. Love you all!

DIY Project: New House

Ryan and I saw this birdwalk rug from cb2 and immediately loved it! However, after seeing it was $299 we decided to pass.
Ryan was at Lowe's one night getting paint when he stumbled upon this for one $22.

And I did this to it with fabric paint and a crayon.
I absolutely love how it turned out! I decided to do less prints to not overwhelm the small space. Who says you have to spend a lot of money to get what you want?!

Girl's Night Out

We got to see the SYTYCD tour performance! I had asked Ryan's dad a while back about getting tickets to this and at the last minute he pulled through! With no time to find sitters we decided to make it a girl's night and I am glad we did! Katie, Mia and Lauren were able to make it even though they all came from SD.
And we didn't just get any seats! We got VIP treatment, thanks to Mattel! Parking right outside the Staples Center, box seats and all the food and drinks you could want! It is the way to watch a show.
The show was awesome, made me love all the dances so much more! Season 7 was a good one. Only bad part is it makes me want to dance again SO bad! Thanks girls for driving so far and making it such a fun night and thanks David for the tickets! Oh yeah, and thanks Rubio for making us late to give me a fix it ticket for my expired registration-that has already been paid for! Urgh!

What's Knott to Love?!

My BIL Mike gets great hook ups from the military, so I love it when I can benefit from it too! On Veteran's Day both Amy and Mike got in free and Owen and I were only 15 bucks at Knott's Berry Farm! Such a steal! So we did as much as we could do towing 3 kids around and 1 of them one doesn't like rides...my child.
Here we are on this crazy tugboat ride, this is how we eased Cam into it. Owen and Emma had already done a few before this all on their own.
She did this one though! We just told her it was like a swing and she had fun!
So did Owen
Emma insisted on having the Zebra on the Merry-go-Round and had this face the whole time, even though she loved it! Camryn did not love it but was great once I was on it with her-then she wanted to stay on forever...progress.
And Owen got the pig...this is his "cheese" face
I like this picture of the 2 boys.
An attempt at a family pic of the Atherly's
And a pretty poor attempt at a cousin pic.
And of course me and my girlie on a train ride. We had a good time! Thanks guys for inviting us along!

90 in November

So we hit up the beach...
Cam ate fruit snacks
put on my suntan lotion
played in the sand
found seashells
and loved it; so did I.

Yes, We Had Halloween Too

I feel like these Halloween posts can get a little redundant because everyone has one, but I want to document this year just like the rest of you! So here it goes...
David (Ryan's Dad) had Camryn and I come up to his work on Friday afternoon for trick or treating around the office. He works for Mattel so it was so fun for Camryn to get to see all the toys (mainly Barbie-whom she loves) and the whole office decked out for Halloween. We just so happened to stop by the right office (David's boss) and got hooked up with a fairy barbie and polly pockets galore. Everyone kept asking where they were giving those out...oops! She scored big time!
Later that night she got to dress up again for our ward's Trunk or Treat. It was so fun doing her hair and putting on jewels. Makes me excited for the years to come.
As you can see, she loved it!
Candy eating already beginning here...
I was so happy with the way her costume turned out. My amazingly crafty mom made the dress and I added the rhinestones and flowers to it. And the best part of it all is that she actually wanted to wear it! Unlike the horse costume she "thought" she wanted to wear.
Trunk or Treating
For a while she would go up and say Trick or Treat all by herself until she found a candy that she wanted to eat more than go back for more, that is when we had to step in.
Saturday night we got to have Cafe Rio with the Foulgers and then Ryan's parents took Camryn home and we hit up The Empty Grave Haunted House in Anahiem.
This picture is ridiculous! I was laughing so hard because he totally scared me right when the picture was taken...of course. He was so creepy looking. Lauren, however, does not look amused. It was a really fun night out just too bad the haunted house only lasted 10 min! What a rip when you are used to the ones in Utah.
Then it was Sunday-Halloween. Such a cute smile in this picture...I love it! We were a little torn as to go out or not it being Sunday and all. But with Ryan's parents in town we figured we would all go as a family and meet the neighbors.
Doing her own knocking-Holidays are so fun when you have kids that get into it!

This house was awesome! Camryn was scared but we loved it!
She got so much candy from all three outings! What a spoiled girl. Thanks mom for the costume and thanks David and Brenda for coming up and spending the day with us, it was so fun for us and epecially Camryn!
