Finally Crawling at 10 Months!

Can you believe it?! Yes, she is 10 months as of yesterday but she finally figured it out! The last few days she was moving a lot more and then today Ryan told her to come here and she did! She is going to be all over the place here quickly since she loves cruising on the furniture, pulling herself up and practicing walking around.
Most kids learn what a cow or dog says, we however found this conventional and thought we'd spice it up a bit and start with what a crow says. Really we don't know why she says this, nor do we know why she does anything--we're learning real early Camryn does what Camryn wants, when she wants. We also apologize for her white trash get-up. Sunday= comfy, cozy outfits or the lack there of.

Since we celebrated her 10 month b-day I thought I post some more of what she has been up to. This past week I went to DeJong Farm and fed the sheep and goats. Camryn thought it was so funny and I can't wait until she can feed them and I don't have to feel those animals nasty tongues. Some how she got into my bag of Hot Tamales. You may think, oh my gosh, was her mouth on fire? Nope, she loved em. Look at that mischievious smile.

Then it was a bag of peanut M&M's, at least we know she doesn't have a peanut allergy.

This one she is doing nothing but was too cute not to post. Same with this next one...

Thanks Aunt Carrie for such a cute shirt and clip! We didn't even do that on purpose.I think she got all of them out already! She looks so big here playing by herself.

I thought while I was at it I would give a shout out to my hubby. It is was our 4th anniversary this past week so we went out to dinner, watched a ton of movies and walked around this new lake that they built by the restuarant. That just doesn't sound right does it? But it sure was pretty. He also got us tickets to go see Jason Mraz in concert! I can't wait, what a great gift! I Love you Ryan!

Never a Dull Moment

We are finally getting around to blog about all that we have been doing for the past 3 or 4 weeks. We have had an extremely fun month and have squeezed in a lot...so here it goes.

Ryan and I got to go see the American Idol Concert! It was so awesome; we got free box seats and Grandma Brenda watched Camryn.

I thought it would be kinda cheesey but it ended up being such a fun concert. Here are the top 10 Idols with Kris in the middle. Man, he is good! And the night wouldn't be complete without an embarrassing moment...my earring flew off and fell in the girl's beer that was in front of me! I must have been dancing too crazy!

Next up was a quick trip to Vegas! We stayed at my brother's place so that Ryan could go see Harry Potter with those that would appreciate it...Cody and Nikki. I went and saw The Proposal by myself instead. We had a great time playing in the pool with their daugther Tessa who learned to swim while we were there. What a cute little mermaid she is and only 2 1/2!

The boys even got to take the scooters for a spin. Ryan wants one and I keep talking him out of it, doesn't make much sense with a baby!

While we were there Camryn got to borrow her cousin Hudson's walker, boy was she in heaven! It took her a day to figure it out but after that she was cruising around the whole house on her own terms! We may have to get one of our own!

Also, we got to go out with Ryan's high school friend Holly and her husband Tod. While we waited for Tod to come home from work I gave Camryn a bath. Lennon, their adorable son wanted in on the fun and hopped in! We had so much fun out to dinner with them and survived our first experience with a babysitter (Camryn was already alseep, a good way to ease into it).

Next my cute Mom came in town! Last time she was around Camryn, she was overwhelmed with all her cousins so it was great for my mom to get to know the real Camryn. Here she is eating her favorite...Plain Tart frozen yogurt! Ok, maybe it is my favorite but she loves it and now I converted my mom too.

Before SYTYCD, this was the only pic we got since we couldn't bring the camera in but I love how it turned out! Doesn't my mom look so good in my jeans?! That was such a fun night to spend together.

My mom and I also got to have pedicures! She spoiled me rotten while she was here! Nothing like a good mom to take care of all your needs and wants. Camryn was such a good girl waiting for us to be pampered. She loved all the colors! Here is Camryn playing with her new baby doll that my mom got for her. She loves hair so it was my mom's mission to find something that she could play with and not hurt her mom's head anymore! Thanks mom for coming down and spoiling us.

We got to try out our new backpack from my mom the following Saturday when we met up with Mia and Nate. We did some exploring at Point Loma in San Diego. It was so fun doing something new and the views were amazing. It reminded us a lot of our Spain trip with tennis shoes, views of the city and harbor and baby in tow.

So comfy on our hike that she fell asleep. What a great thing to have for adventures like this.

Since we were trying out new things we headed to Ocean Beach where we had Hodads (def: a nonsurfer who spends his time at beaches masquerading a surfer, also see poser). Long wait but cool atmosphere and good food.

Even Camryn wanted to try the onion rings!

My wife forgot THE most exciting, dangereous and epic tale of how I saved everyone's life while we were hiking(at least that's how I remember it). Nate and I were walking in front of the girls pondering the cosmos and quantum physics (we really were--I felt so intelligent) and not even paying attention to the road ahead. I saw something move out of the corner of my eye as we came around the bend and I immediately reached out and swiped the snake with my hands as it lunged for Nates calf--barely grazing him with its venemous fang. Okay really all I did was reach across and say, "Oh my gosh stop!" and waited while the scaly serpent slithered on. Mia has a better picture--this is only half of him, he's turning around at this point. I see why they compare the devil to a serpent-they really are evil looking creatures. None the less I felt brave--give me my moment.

So You Think You Can Dance?!!!

I got to go to the finale dance show!!! Sunday night I get a call from a friend in my ward, Jennifer Johnson, who had 8 tickets for the Wednesday night show! Lucky enough for me she remember how obsessed I was with the show and so she offered two tickets to me! it just so happened that this was the week my mom was in town and is just as obsessed and so she got to come while Ryan watched the baby! So yes, I went two times this year and got to got she the finale show! Saying it was fun would be an understatement. We had such a good time going as mother daughter and with the Wilson girls, Haylee and Alyssa, such fun girls!
We got to Hollywood early enough to walk around Hollywood and Highland and do a little shopping. Then the show started and are seats were great. Second balcony forth or fifth row up kinda over to the right if you looking at the balcony (my mom is wearing a red shirt and I am in green and purple for those who want to find us). Tonight's show is SO good, great dancing, funny comments and amazing energy in the Kodak Theater. About half way through the show the host,Cory, of the live taping that keeps the audience entertained came up to our balcony. Haylee, Alyssa and I stood up trying to get his attention and he would not give it to us until Alyssa went to sit down and fell on her butt! So that did it! leave it to an embarrassing moment to get you noticed. He interviewed her on what happened and then she said she needed a different chair, one that won't make her fall and so he asked if she wanted Nigel's seat! We all started getting our shoes on (minus my mom who was so embarrassed!) because we thought we were going down to the Judges seats during the commercial break. Nigel's seat didn't work out but we got second best, the box seats down lower and closer to everything! So now if you want to look for us we are on the left side in the last box on the bottom row, who know what view they will use for the tapeing. These seats were aweome! Leave it to Alyssa to help you out with good seats. Even my mom had to talk in the mircophone when they asked if she was the younger sister. Later on in the show he kept checking on us to see if they were better seats and if Alyssa had anymore incidents. Too bad this guy is Cory and not Ryan, boy would he love that job! Thanks so much Jennifer!

My bet is that Jeanine wins! Just as long as Evan doesn't win I am happy! Who is your pick?!
