Date Nights

The last two weekends we were able to cash in our tickets and have some great dates. Pretty great to be able to spend time with Ryan and for Grandma to spend time with Camryn.

First up was the Jason Mraz concert at the Hollywood Bowl. Not only was it an amazing concert but the venue was gorgeous! Jason Mraz is great on his albums but live is WAY better! That voice is unreal! I hate not having talents, but luckily we can pay to enjoy other people's talents.

The seats are cute little wooden park benches and you can bring in a picnic (in our case candy and sodas) and blankets. Such a fun night out!

Next up was Lion King in San Diego. We had heard really good things about this show from Ryan's mom who gave us the tickets and it didn't disappoint. In fact it was a million times better than we could have planned for! The costumes, the music and the story...all amazing. Ask Ryan I cried like the whole time. I know I am a baby but there is just something about watching performance and the thrill of the stage. I get all nostalgic. I wish I could be up there singing and dancing with them, eventhough I was never that good and will never be that good.

My advice go pick up a Jason Mraz CD, or if your hi-tech unlike us download his album and go see Lion King. You'll be happy you did. Thanks for such fun dates Ryan and Brenda for babysitting!

As long as I get to tend Camryn, let the fun weekend dates continue!

Fun!!! I am envious of date nights because Cody has been living between work and school this semester. I am glad to hear you love Lion King, it is also here in Vegas so I will definitly have to go now! And, p.s. that venue of the Jason Mraz concert looks like a fairytale, amazing. And, you look beautiful as always. :)

Take advantage of that MIL!! I wish we could go on dates, super jealous. They wouldn't even have to be as awesome as the ones you go on (but that would be nice). The skyline at the Hollywood Bowl alone was amazing I bet. Very cool.

So fun!!
I saw the Lion King in NYC last year and absolutely loved it.

And seriously, what a venue for the Jason Mraz concert. That place looks incredible!

You guys are one lucky couple! I love the Hollywood bowl - Patrick took me there when we were dating to see the symphony and fireworks. So fun! I bet the Lion King was sooo good. I'm with you - I get all emotional watching great shows. Patrick and I just got tix to see 3 of Ballet Arizona's shows - I'm so excited!

You both look so cute! The Hollywood Bowl looks so fun. How does the sound work when you're outdoors? Must be good or they wouldn't do it there. I didn't know you had cried at Lion King! You're turning into your mom! Another interesting quality we share-now I can admit to you how many shows I've cried through.

Fun date nights! The Hollywood Bowl looked beautiful! And Jason Maraz is awesome in concert, but that one looked way cooler than when I saw him. Camryn is such a doll. ANd great job on those cupcakes! How did we get such beautiful babies? We need to make more!

Bestill my heart! I've thought the Hollywood bowl would be awesome, but that even exceeded my impressions of it!!! What a beautiful night! I hear they do summer concerts weekly...I want to do that! Also I've heard from lots of people how cool Lion King is on stage...but we saw THe Circle of Life performed on a results show for Dancing with the Stars...OH. MY. GOODNESS! It was COOL. You are one lucky couple!
