A few weeks ago we met up with a group of young families in Brittany's ward in Carlsbad for a night of beach volleyball. I opted to watch Camryn and Ryan worked it in the volleyball game. Man, we wish we lived closer. 
We always struggle to get a good picture together; I think we about achived it this time. (Minus my double chin). These pictures remind me of the beaches in Northern California because you almost always are fully clothed. I have a little love in my heart for that!
Then last weekend we celebrated my birthday! I am officially in my late 20's! Wha-wha! Ryan tried to surprise me with getting all of our friends together for dinner and eventually he had to end up telling me. So I told him to surprise me with the place, well I figured that part out too! I am too big of a planner/pusher; therefore, I never get surprised eventhough I want to be. So here we (Britt and Derek and Mia and Nate) are at Rockin' Baja in Old Town San Diego. Great little place if you haven't been there!
Afterward, Katie, who looks great for being due next month, and Tim were able to met at Ryan's parents for cake (A Nothing Bundt Cake!) and presents. It felt like a total birthday party, (minus candles in the cake) I haven't had that in a long time! It was so nice having everyone there to make me feel special. 
We spent Saturday with Tim and Katie since they were down from LA. We had so much fun kayaking, surfing, laying out and going out to dinner with those two! Too bad we didn't get a picture together. I tried but Ryan said "We don't look very good tonight!" (referring to us not Katie and Tim). Geez Ryan, why don't you be a little more honest!
We also got to stay another night and go to church the next day with the Smart's and have a great birthday dinner! I was so spoiled and got to spread my birhtday over 4 days! That's how I like to do it. Thanks everyone for all their cards, calls, messages and thoughts!

Loved your update. That first picture of you and Camryn looks like it should be submitted to a magazine. You two look adorable. If Ryan doesn't want his picture taken, either leave him out or crop him out, but take the picture.
Lots of fun! Wish we could have been the to share in the fun or at least have our card arrive in a timely fashion. Lookin' good for such a "youngster"!
Glad you joined the late twenty's club! Happy birthday! Looks like fun. I love my bday too and love for everyone to know about it and celebrate it. Glad you got to do fun stuff for your special day. And just so you know, you could never have a double chin! You are too amazingly thin! ANd what is this about a shoe business? I want to hear more!

We had fun seeing you guys at Volleyball and church, but sorry we had to miss your birthday, it was kind of crazy week. Hopefully we'll get together again soon!
I know what you mean about treasuring naptime. It is my daily goal to get both children to nap at the same time. Doesn't always happen but when it does... oh the joy! Glad you had a birthday weekend, those are the best. You're so little and you don't even know it. Tell Ryan that it's ok to look "normal" sometimes.
I'm happy you had such a great birthday weekend - it is fun to stretch it out long. You do so many fun things with your friends! Cam is a cute one - can't believe what a big girl she is getting to be. I am laughing at the fact that it has taken 10 months for it to be hard to get stuff done. Your sweet baby is so nice to you to wait to be so mobile!

And P.S. Ryan I TOtally know what you mean about the 'southern charm' wearing off... we definitely experienced that in Alabama, I'm just trying to be positive thru my nervousness!
