This year in Park City did not disappoint. The winter is great in the snow and all, but there is nothing that compares to a summer in Utah. Especially when it comes to the 4th of July. It just feels like summer there with its warm summer nights and all the patriotic festivities. As Ryan puts it, Utah should own the rights to this holiday. We got to share it with Ryan's parents, his brother Jake and girlfriend Emily and lots of friends-just how holidays should be.
Swimming with Dad
Throwing rocks in the pond at our favorite-Willow Creek Park
Out to dinner with Mia, Nate and Lezlie at Windy Ridge Cafe, which was really good and so nice to eat outside.
Camryn's love/hate activity of driving around to see horses and cows. This is now one of my favorite things too. We stop and look at all the amazing houses and get out to see the horses that she thinks she wants to see until we get close.
I mean how beautiful is that?!
We also got to spend sometime with Ryan's Aunt Shauna & Uncle Neil for a family get together & birthday party for Ryan's cousin. Camryn loved getting to play with Kennedy. She is the cutest and sweetest girl ever. Camryn still talks about her.
Finally getting use out of she and cousin Cassidy's Christmas present. She was way too scared when she got it but now she can drive it around all on her own and is actually really good at it. Makes me nervous for when she is 16!
Cute Jake and Emily-watching fireworks at the park from The Canyons Resort
Park City Parade-still fun but has nothing on the Oakley parade-no candy, I mean come on.
Camryn was in love with her after-parade slurpee!
That night Ryan's parents got us tickets to the Oakley Rodeo. We had so much fun, but Camryn was over the top! She could not sit still and was in heaven watching all the cows and horses. She did get a little concerned with the calf roping but I quick told her that the cows just wanted hugs and that they were getting bows tied around their feet. She would shout, "Give me that hug you cow!!!" Quickly turned a horrible thing into a fun game! A grape sno cone and a fireworks show after-doesn't get much better than that!
Love this picture, and right after the pic was taken Lezlie lost her balance and fell right on me pushing me and Camryn over-slowest most controlled fall I have ever seen or felt. Pure talent on everyone's behalf to save the child and the pregnant mom! The next day Ryan had to head home but I was able to stay a couple extra days before heading to Granite Bay and it was so fun. Camryn and I were truly spoiled and will make it hard for us to want stay home next year. Thanks David & Brenda!
