Ryan must be proud of my belly (his hand is there in the last two pictures)! It is definitely getting bigger! This is just before we watched our neighbors set off illegal fireworks on the beach. We were too chicken to do it ourselves, so we were very glad they could provide the entertainment for the evening.
Now for some real entertainment! We decided that resting on the beach and watching the kids play in the sand would not be nearly as fun as doing a Family Olympics! And we were right! We each were on a team and picked a Country to represent...then we decorated our own t-shirts (who knew we were such artists, I wish we would have had some close ups on some of these) and then competed in 11 different events. Let's just say we don't mess around. Above is Team Greece and below is Team China. Some of the events included bubble gum blowing, long jump, hula hoop, water balloon toss, home run derby and a relay race! This is Team Japan...we were pretty hard core. I mean just look at Sean! And he is only 3...we train them early! Let's just say it may have taken time to plan this out but it ended up being so much fun and what a great memory.
Final Standings: China-Gold, Greece-Silver, Japan-Bronze
It was so great getting all of us together and spending time with everyone. We are so lucky to have such great families! Thanks Mom and Dad!

It was so awesome! We missed you two the first day, it was incomplete! I love how proud Ryan is of your belly. Super cute daddy to be! I do think Japan was robbed in the Tug-o-war competition...too bad:( I still chuckle to myself when ever someone refers to your little girl or a niece! Can't picture it yet, but can't wait!
I'd also like to comment on my lack of enthusiam for the Greece photo. First off please note the Muscles (thanks Mike)on the t-shirt. Secondly, I had just posed for one of the other cameras and clearly thought we were done--lots of cameras that weekend. Good times.
That seriously looks like so much fun. And, you look gorgeous, but I don't see this bump too much...get going on this bump thing!!!
What a fun idea! Ryan, those muscles were DRAWN on? I had no idea...
How hilarious is that? Olympics! Ha! that sounds like something my family would do. Don't be mad if we totally copy you next year...
First can I say how excited I am that baby girl countdown is now in double digits! What a beautiful family you have. It is obvious that you'll have cherished memories for years to come by the looks on the faces of all those darling little boys!
oh man... you guys are the funniest! the pic with Ryan's hand on your belly crack me up... I love it!
Who knew our family could be so silly! I LOVE that we all were carried away with it. So much more fun that way! It was so great to have our HUGE family all together.
That is classic.. I guess we weren't as original as we thought. Good ole morm Family reunions. Our family could TOTALLY kick your family's trash:)
Also, congrats on the upcoming family addition. How exciting! Are you guys heading our way anytime soon? To bad we didn't think to catch up while we were in your hood. Next time
Looks like such a fun trip.
I love the new yellow background btw. It looks great!
Congrats on the baby girl. We are excited for you guys. We need to have you out for dinner. And your mom and dad too. We finally got a house, so once we get settled we would love to have you over. Love the blog!
