Valentine's Day & 4 Months Old

I started the weekend out by making these yummy cookies. I hadn't made sugar cookies in a long time and though they took a while to make I had nothing else to do and it was actually really fun. We then headed down to San Diego so I could have a girls night without Camryn.
Me, Mia and Brittany

Britt and I were able to go to dinner beforehand while Mia had a work event but then we met up and saw Confessions of a Shopaholic. It was really cute. Funny but made you nervous the whole time with awkward situations. Definitely one to see with the girls.

On Valentine's Day I woke up to a gift bag with a cute new purse, shirt and Valentine's Day Slippers-the same as yours Carrie! So fun getting presents. Speaking of Carrie, she made Camryn the cutest felt clippies ever. This one was the one she wore for Valentine's Day.
She is so spoiled. Too bad she pooped through this outfit within an hour of wearing it (at least we got a picture, right?)
It had rained a ton the night before but cleared up enough for us to go for a walk at Torrey Pines. It was a little chilly but the views were amazing.

We then met up with Brittany and Mia and had our favorite frozen yogurt!!! Yes, we are a little obssessed I could have it everyday. Both Mia's and Brittany's hubbies were having a "boys weekend" so it was fun getting to hang out so much. We went on yet another walk-something else I could do everyday, walked through a couple home stores and watched Jack run around at the park.

Then it was date time. Ryan let me choose Sushi and he picked the place. We went to Roppongi in La Jolla and it was SO fun! The inside was all booked out so we ate on the patio around this big fire pit the atmosphere was so cool and romantic! We had delicious Sushi and nice alone time.

Afterward we walked over to the Living Room a cute little cafe and had hot chocolate and treats. It was so awesome of Ryan's parents to watch Camryn so we can go out. You really appreciate going out alone once you have a baby. It was such a fun couple of days and so nice getting to hang out with good friends and most of all my hubby.

Hidden Camera

Camryn is still not feeling great although her cough and running nose are gone her ear is still bothering her. So it was to my great surprise that I got tons of laughs the other day. So many that I was able to get to the camera. I have to hide it though so she won't get distracted so it is not the best angle and I can't figure out how to rotate it (I need to remember that I need to turn the camera horziontal next time). I was changing her diaper in the car when I was out running errands...so yes I am talking about her poop! Don't you just love the crazy things you'll do to try and get your kids to laugh? Parents are crazy and boy don't we all just love our kids! They are so much fun; I love this stage!

The past couple days she has been feeling better I've been putting her on the floor as much as I can to get her rolling over. Hopefully it will be one of these days but today she did push up a little!

I had her try and do it again when Ryan came home and of course she couldn't do it. Sad. I can't get over how big she is looking these days it is so crazy to me that she is a full on baby now not a newborn.

She is starting to really love her playmat. Although she had had enough in this picture. How did I end up with this dark haired, blue-eyed baby? So weird, but I sure do love it!

Sad Sick Baby

Her face says it all! She hadn't been herself for a few days and had one really bad nights sleep. I thought she was reverting back to her old ways. Then we noticed her nose was a lot more congested, she was tugging at her ear and coughing quite a bit so we thought we'd make an appointment. Sure enough it is an ear infection. Poor thing. I guess Ryan is the one to blame since I never got them. It is so sad to see her in pain, but she is handling it well. Just wants to be held and cuddled a lot more which is fine by me. As a parent it just makes you feel so helpless. The plus is that she loves to take her medicine and it is so fun watching her face taste something besides milk. Hopefully she is back to herself soon!

My Handsome Man-Beware it May be Cheesey

I think it is time I pay tribute to the one I love. I have such an awesome husband and made the best decision I've ever made when I married him. Ryan makes me laugh everyday. There is never a dull moment at our house. It has been the most amazing thing to see him as a father. A friend and I were just saying how much more attractive a man is when he has a child. And he was good looking before!!! I love to watch the way he looks at her and the different ways he plays with her. He has been my biggest support and my true best friend since the day I met him. But now after being married over 3 years now and having a baby my love for him has only increased. He comes home everyday after work and is so helpful in cleaning up and relieving me from Camryn when I need it. He is so talented at work it drives me nuts! I wish that I could have even just some of the talent and drive he has. He is always looking out for what is best for our family and knows that we are his number one top priority. For everything you do and are, I love you honey!!!
