Baby's First Real Debute

On Friday night we were able to go to our friend Mia's wedding reception. When she originally set her date we were unsure if we were going to make it. We thought I would either have just had the baby or be extremely uncomfortable and angry that I was overdue. But everything worked out and we were so glad I was able to come and have everyone meet Camryn for the first time. You will see that she is not pictured because she was an angel and slept the entire time! I was so stressed out that she would be fussy since 5-10 pm is her worst time of day. The little 9 day old surprised us and didn't make a peep the whole night! She made it very easy for us to enjoy seeing our friends.

Let's just say this night wouldn't have been possible without the help of my parent's who had been staying with us this past week. There is nothing better than a good family! It was so nice to have such help this week. We'll see how my real first week alone goes! Wish me luck! And thanks again mom and dad!

And what would be a post if I didn't put up pictures of the one you want to see...

She is already rolling to her side...hard to believe...so see for yourself!

She is Here!

We can't believe it finally happened!! At 4:48 pm on Wednesday Oct 15, 2008 Camryn Renee Smart was born! Weighing 6 lbs 15 oz and 20 inches. After 18 hours of labor we were able to fianlly see what she looked like. She is absolutely adorable and so sweet. Who would have thought she would have all that hair? I can't believe how thick and dark it is! We couldn't be happier!!!

This is her on the drive home only 24 hours after she was born.

Everything Except for the Baby

4 days until I am due...the baby ticker goes off how many weeks I am, not my actual due date. I am technically 40 weeks on Thursday but my doctor has my due date on the 18th. So I apologize for the confusion. I have been done with work since last Friday Oct. 3rd. All my friends who were due around the same time as me have already had their babies...so it has become very real to me now. In the meantime I have organized just about everything. And no I am not "Nesting" I just have nothing better to do with my time.

This is her closet...all the essentials...I think!

704 wipes + 296 diapers=10 days with a newborn baby (well pretty close, right?)

This is the other half of the nursery we hadn't completed with the previous post.

I have had mild Braxton Hicks contractions and pressure everynight, but I go to bed and wake up the next morning refreshed and full of energy. I have been walking everyday and even walked 4.5 miles yesterday. I have now come to the conclusion I will have to be induced, which if that is the case it will be either the 22nd or 23rd. There is a full moon tonight...any chance of it happening this hallowed evening?
