We had the epitome of what Summer weekends are all about! Filled with beautiful scenery, great food and amazing weather! It had been a few weeks since we have gone out to do something with all the baby preperations. This was the view from our table we had lunch at in Mission Beach at Canes. This place has the best food with portions sizes to feed several or in my case pregnant women. The last time we ate here we saw a bunch of dolphins. We weren't as fortunate this time but the weather was enough to make up for that. By far my favorite place to eat in SD!
Seal Beach in La Jolla-we had so much fun walking around La Jolla and then headed over and walked along the beach and then checked out the seals. It is very entertaining to watch them try and get back in the water from where they are all laying (especially the meaty ones)
Needless to say it was a great weekend (minus the calf roping) and we loved spending time together for our Anniversary! I know we will look back on these times after we have the baby and be so grateful for them! So for now we are going to live it up!

Trying to capture the sunset...we did better than we thought. It was so beautiful walking around and watching the sun go down! Hubba Hubba!
Does it get any better than this?

We spent the rest of the evening eating dinner at this cute little Thai place that over looked the water and Gelato at the Gelateria. Scrumpious! Such a great way to celebrate our Anniversary...it was worth the wait even though it was the week prior!
We then spent the next day laying by the pool, taking a nice long walk on around the Rancho Santa Fe Golf Course, eating at Board N' Brew (best sandwiches in SD) and then going to the nicest Rodeo ever! Can those two words be in the same sentence...nice and rodeo. Honestly this rodeo was so clean and organized. However, it was in the OC apparently they are held at a higher standard then those in Utah or the Inland Empire. Ryan got these tickets for free and came with all you can eat ice cream and sodas. But yes you can't go to a rodeo and not have Kettle Korn and Sno-Cones...so we had to endulge in those as well.It is extremely hard to pictures of something that moves so fast. But this guy I think was the winner...8.9 seconds! I wish you could tell how clean and nice everything was.
The next event I am not ok with....
Calf roping! It is horrible! For those who aren't fimiliar with this event it is just wrong! They let the calf go and chase after it and then rope it by the neck pull it back hard so it strangles the poor thing...then they tie up its legs...then they make it lay there like this for a good amount of time to make sure it can't get up! Literally, this was the worst thing to watch but of course you can't help but stare and think that is just so wrong! Those poor little animals have no idea what is going on! I would not be good to take to a bull fight!Needless to say it was a great weekend (minus the calf roping) and we loved spending time together for our Anniversary!
